Men Get Breast Cancer Too
Wednesday Workshop | October 28, 2026
DO NOT IGNORE THIS!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
And while much of the conversation focuses on women, MEN — THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!
Did you know men can develop breast cancer, too?
What if you discovered a lump beneath your nipple?
Would you dismiss it as nothing?
Could it be gynecomastia, a common, noncancerous enlargement of breast tissue—or something more serious?
Here's What Every Man Should Know
Gynecomastia can occur with hormonal changes, certain medications, and underlying health conditions.

Male Breast Cancer: Warning Signs
But male breast cancer is real.
Warning signs may include:
- A new breast lump
- Nipple discharge
- Nipple retraction
- Skin dimpling or other breast skin changes
- Swelling beneath the arm
Risk increases with age, certain inherited genetic mutations such as BRCA2, and a family history of breast cancer.
You cannot reliably determine whether a breast lump is benign or cancerous simply by feeling it.
A new or concerning breast change deserves medical evaluation.
The Most Important Message
Breast Cancer Awareness Month isn't just about women.
It's about awareness, education, and recognizing when something needs attention.
Men, knowing your risk is important. Recognizing a change is important. But acting on it? That could save your life.
